No comic for this week, I'm taking a week break as a birthday treat for myself.

Just enjoy some chicken scratches of a noir AU of Roommates.
Their occupations are more or less the same.

Mike - detective
Marion - landlord
Fredderick - bodyguard/bouncer
Chiclet - owner of bar or brothel
Foxglove - main performer
Bonnibel - orphan/helper
Bonworth - worker
Cheeky - nurse
Faz - retiree

Peanut - manager
Mango - accountant/secretary
Bonbon - singer
Goose - make up artist
Beanie - guard
Chichi - chef
Fred - boss
Rackham - worker

Each character and my thoughts.
Mike: yeah, that makes sense
Marion: yep
Frederick: given the setting of noir, either a veteran of the First World War or the second
Chiclet: yeah, that fits her personality, perhaps a socialite who suffered an accident?
Foxglove: I thought she had BDD, wouldn’t that preclude performing burlesque acts in front of others?
Bonnibel: sure
Bonworth: worker who suffers an “accident” at the hands of the local mob?
Cheeky: perhaps was a nurse during the first or Second World War? Depends when this noir is set
Faz: veteran of the First World War who was horribly disfigured by shrapnel, and is a recipient of some of the earliest plastic surgery?
Haddock: Longshoreman?
Peanut: maybe
Mango: could still be a teacher
Bonbon: I have a very hard time imagining Bonbon as a chanteuse in the traditional noir sense.
Goose: isn’t she blind? How does that work?
Beanie: given the time period Noir encompasses, I could see her working in a munitions factory in WW2, or being one of the ferry pilots. Guard works too though
Chichi: and one who faces considerable discrimination in a field dominated by men at the high level
Fred: mafia, or otherwise?
Rackham: Longshoreman?

The setting that I had in mind was after WW2.

Frederick: Yup, an ex-soldier
Chiclet: that and just trying to stay out of the spotlight.
Foxglove: times were hard and a gal's got to do what a gal's got to do. And she's not exactly stripping nor going out with the clients.
Bonworth: possible
Cheeky: after WW2 and she takes care of Faz
Faz: still ironing out some details but could be
Haddock: can be, stucked at the port and yet to step on a boat before the "accident"
Peanut: he's new at his role and still learning the ropes
Mango: well, if you count trying to guide Peanut
Bonbon: that's the irony that I want to show. She has the looks, but a voice that will give Florence Jenkins a run for her money.
Goose: she just wings it.
Beanie: she's a guard at Fred's establishment.
Chichi: very true
Fred: legal and lucrative business
Rackham: more of a grunt

Still working on what role the humanitronics would have and whether they are still robots or a real mafia.

By the way, Mike rembers me a lot to the Mysterious Stranger

Someone is dead in the streets, severed head and fingers, something's not right with the scene.

The name is Mike, Mike Smitdch ((don't remember the name))

And i'm dry of ideas, sorry

Pretty much just a mystery drama, execpt with the only human in their world.

"And my life's a whole mystery just like my current case."

"Trail's already gone cold. It's going to be a long night"

I always think about cannibalism in the FNAF-Roommates AU, i imagine a young crow from really poor places, for him, bird meat was a meal everyday, a scavenger with a blood color in the beak.

I always liked the idea of exploring animal relations in that kind of worlds

Similar to Mickey mouse's world, sentient and sapient animals coexist with each other. So what might look like cannibalism to us, is just something normal to them.
Though, I feel your scenario would be something that they're going to frown upon similar to people eating rats or insects.

The same feeling with Zootopia

Given that they evolved from predators hunting preys, it's not hard to imagine that.
